Detailed Itinerary by days
Day 1Barcelona - El Masnou
Starting in Barcelona's energetic center, where Gaudí's spires cut the heavens, Sail north to El Masnou, a peaceful haven where sailboats bob in a port surrounded in pastel homes. Near Platja del Masnou, a golden ribbon of sand where residents engage in pétanque among palm trees, anchor near Walk the Passeig Marítim, pausing at Can Xim to make esqueixada (salt cod salad), where tomatoes explode in taste. See the city's brilliance fade into starlit peace as evening sets.

Day 2El Masnou - Mataró
Glide past Montgat's medieval tower to Mataró, early inspiration for Gaudí's work. Under the quirky contours of Nau Gaudí, you plunge into the soft waves of Platja del Callao. Underneath the market of the city, cycle to the Roman Ruins of Iluro and indulge in arròs a la cassola (clay-pot rice) at El Racó de Cal Ninyo, where the recipes date back further than the ruins.

Day 3Mataró - Calella
Sail to Calella, where the lighthouse guards a coast of secret coves. Either climb the Camí de Ronda for vistas of the Costa del Maresme or kayak to Cala Estreta, a slice of pebbles framed by pine cliffs. Join neighbors at Bar La Paloma for xató (bitter green salad with anchovies) and cava drank straight from the bottle at sunset.

Day 4Calella - Santa Susanna
Drift south to Santa Susanna, a sun-kissed golden sand length. Try windsurfing in the morning air then pedal the Pista Ciclable coastal route to Pineda de Mar, where fisherman mend nets in time with the tides. Dine at Ca l'Arnau, their suquet de peix (fish stew) simmered with saffron and sea salt while the moon emerged over the Med.

Day 5Santa Susanna - Malgrat de Mar
Sail to Malgrat de Mar, where the palms of Parque Francesc Macià swing over blue sea. After snorkel around the Illes Formigues, little islets packed with darting bream, we investigate the 10th-century fortification known as Castell de Palafells. At El Racó de la Mar, the meal presented in pans larger than your arms is feast on fideuà, seafood noodles.

Day 6Malgrat de Mar - Blanes
From Blanes, the "Gateway to the Costa Brava," coast north. Trekking the Jardí Botànic Marimurtra, where cactus cling to rocks above blue seas, then explore Cala San Francesc, a bay reachable only by boat. Dine at El Trull with a crisp vi blanc from nearby vines beside their caldereta de llagosta, or lobster stew.

Day 7Blanes - Lloret de Mar
Sail to Lloret de Mar for your finale to find golden beaches meeting vibrant nightlife. Then jet-ski to Cala Banys, a pine-fringed getaway, after soaking in Santa Clotilde Gardens. Reiter Barcelona as the sun gilds the W Hotel, finishing your journey with bombas (spicy potato croquettes) at La Cova Fumada, the city's vitality dragging you back to land.
